On July 10, according to the Voice of the Greater Bay Area: On the occasion of the second anniversary of the opening of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, a new thematic exhibition "Lighting Colors - Ming Dynasty Ceramic Treasures from the Palace Museum" starts from today (July 10) Officially open to the public. This exhibition is the second large-scale Chinese ceramics exhibition since the opening of the Hong Kong Palace Museum. It displays a total of 106 ceramic treasures from the Palace Museum and 7 pieces of porcelain from the collection of the Hong Kong Palace Museum. It is divided into three units, ranging from vessel shape to , glaze color, pattern and other aspects, showing the evolution, development and outstanding achievements of ceramic craftsmanship in the early, middle and late Ming Dynasty.
The Ming Dynasty was one of the most prosperous periods in the history of Chinese ceramic development. The porcelain was of excellent quality and colorful, and was the epitome of Chinese history, technology, art and international cultural exchanges at that time. Almost all of the 106 pieces of ceramics from the Palace Museum on display are on display in Hong Kong for the first time, including 21 national first-class cultural relics, such as Hongwu glazed red pine, bamboo and plum jade pots and spring vases, orthodox blue and white alum red colored sea water dragon pattern plates, Chenghua doucai Sanqiu cup and Wanli colorful lotus pond flower and bird painting garlic vase, etc.
Tam Yun-chi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, believes that this exhibition is of great significance, "The Hong Kong Palace Museum shoulders the mission of promoting the research and appreciation of Chinese culture and art, and promoting dialogue between different civilizations. After appreciating the exquisite ceramics of the Ming Dynasty at close range, some international curators said that the exhibition inspired them to hold international exhibitions in mainland China or Hong Kong. , looking forward to jointly promoting exchanges and mutual learning between different cultures in the future.
This exhibition is located in Exhibition Hall 3 of the Hong Kong Palace Museum. Visitors can visit with standard tickets or special exhibition tickets. Activities such as lectures and workshops will also be held during the exhibition.
